British fashion label Bench is expanding its presence in Munich, Germany to become its second main business location after its headquarters in Manchester, as the German market continues to become more significant for the brand.
From March, 2015 onwards, Bench will operate from its new 3,000 square meter office in the “neue balan” business park on Balanstrasse 73, replacing the label's current office in the city. “The creative environment and open atmosphere of this business park – comprising offices and workspaces as well as areas for relaxation and socialising – were important factors for Bench when it came to choosing this particular business location,” said the label in a press release.
The new business location includes a 600 square meter showroom, as well as office space for Bench's global wholesale division, marketing, communication, e-commerce and licensing division. Approximately 50 employees will be initially working from the new site. “We sought and found a young and innovative environment for Bench in Munich,” commented Bruno Sälzer, Chairman and CEO of Bench on the new business location. “The Manchester/Munich tie will certainly be a creative bond.”
The stronger brand presence in Munich high lights the growing importance the German market holds for Bench, as the country currently accounts for one half of the company turnover, and is the second largest market for the label after Great Britain. Bench is currently active in 32 countries across Europe and North America.
