Borderfree expands to over 220 countries

Borderfree, the cross-border e-commerce solutions that helps retailers including the Dune Group and Austin Reed sell internationally, is expanding its e-commerce platform to reach over 220 countries and territories including key emerging luxury markets.
The company, which launched as a solution to bridge the gap between the US and UK-based merchants by handling everything from global marketing, website localisation, compliance, multi-currency pricing, payments, fraud management, global logistics, and local market intelligence, is adding an additional 120 countries and 15 currencies to the service to maximised “global consumer reach” for its retailers.
Two of the key emerging markets that the company will now sell to are Nigeria, which Borderfree states has a growing economy that could more than triple in size to 1.6 trillion dollars by 2030, which means it could become a top 20 economy, as well as Kazakhstan, which is forecasted to reach 5 billion dollars by the end of 2017.
