Brooks Brothers announced plans today for an upcoming brick and mortar store in New York's Hudson Yards shopping district.

America's longest-existing ready-to-wear brand, Brooks Brothers plans to debut a new type of global interior design concept into its new store, incorporating both archival architectural elements inspired by its historic Madison Avenue flagship along with modern design elements.

The new Hudson Yards district is set to include over 100 shops and dining experiences, plus 4,000 residences. Since its establishment in 1818, Brooks Brothers has worked to move from to each important New York neighborhood to follow where its customers want to shop. Its Hudson Yards location will open in April this year.

The new, 2,500 square foot location will carry the brand's signature collection, its Golden Fleece luxury label for men and its women’s collection designed by Zac Posen. The store will also include a dedicated area for Made to Measure clothing.

“We are excited for the opening of Brooks Brothers at Hudson Yards as the development is one of the most ambitious and exciting retail projects in New York City history, further demonstrating our brands’ commitment to innovation in all aspects,” Claudio Del Vecchio, Chairman and CEO of Brooks Brothers, said in a statement.
