The second annual Buy British Day will take place on Saturday, October 3, with the hope that the initiative will continue to raise awareness of home-grown brands as well as boost sales.

The day encourages consumers to support brands and businesses that design and manufacture in Britain and will centre around two ‘Buy British Day’ Best of Britannia pop-ups, one in London and one up North in Preston.

The London pop-up is targeting 12,000 visitors at its King’s Cross location where it will be located alongside the Classic Car Boot Sale event. British brands taking part includes luxury British menswear label Ross Barr, Joseph Corré’s A Child of the Jago, Alice Robson Jewellery, silk accessories designer Geoff Stocker, designer Victoria Eggs, tailor Susannah Hall, and Dhu Performance Cashmere.

While the Preston event will include a pop-up retail outlet in the middle of the city’s Fishergate shopping centre, as well as on the Preston train station concourse. The pop-up will feature The Leather Satchel Company, knitwear from designer Alison O’Neill’s The Shepherdess label, and footwear brand Swift and Co.
