Camden Market teams up with IncuBus London to launch new retail incubator

IncuBus London, an early stage startup incubator, has teamed up with Camden Market to launch a new incubator programme which focuses on retail and startups servicing the retail sector. Opened to retail startups, with a minimum viable product, the programme offers successful applicants the chance to test and develop their products/services among Camden's markets and stores.
"Having been based in Camden for the past year we saw the opportunity that startups have here, especially as the area develops over the coming year," commented Rishi Chowdhury, co-founder of IncuBus London which initially started on a London bus which had been renovated into an office. "The goal is to help these startups with access to market so they can get feedback and some traction ready to apply to the world’s best accelerator programmes and raise their next round of funding."
Applications for the programme are now open for startups, including single founders from fashion, ecommerce, food and drink servicing the retail vertical. From the 3 applicant phases, 18 entrepreneurs will be selected to participate in the 3 month project which starts on September 21. The 3,000 pound scheme offers successful applicants will be given access to over 50 workshops and mentor sessions during the 12 week programme from the likes of Asos, Burberry and Google. At the end of the programme, startups will be ready to enter a leading accelerator programme or raise their next round of funding.
The founders of IncuBus, Chowdhury and George Johnston met while working at Huddle.com and aim to help improve the survival rate of startups and offer career for startups through their incubator, leading to an accelerator programme followed by funding.
