Capital and Regional shopping centres, which includes The Mall Luton and The Mall Blackburn, is rolling out click-and-collect services across its Mall-branded portfolio following a successful trial at The Mall Camberley.

The partnership with CollectPlus will allow customers to collect and return online purchases from more than 260 high street and online brands at the shopping centres customer ‘Ask Me Points’ seven days a week. It is hoped the new service will act as a footfall driver across its Mall portfolio.

The service has been rolled out following a successful six-month trial at The Mall Camberley, which was the UK’s first community shopping centre to launch CollectPlus in October 2014. It proved successful with CollectPlus customers scoring the service 4.75 out of 5.

Mark Bourgeois, executive director at Capital and Regional, said: “CollectPlus has been a huge success at The Mall Camberley, and our Malls are becoming increasingly central to the multi-channel shopping experience. The rise of online shopping has increased the need for convenient delivery and returns services, which we are pleased to now be offering to our customers.”

Neil Ashworth, chief executive of CollectPlus, added: “The future of click-and-collect lies in aligning collection points to the everyday journeys that customers make and we’re certainly seeing the success of this model in Capital & Regional’s malls.”

The service is now available at: The Mall Blackburn, The Mall Camberley, The Mall Luton, The Mall Maidstone, The Mall Walthamstow, The Mall Wood Green, and The Kingfisher Centre in Redditch.
