The long awaited Cath Kidston x Winnie-the-Pooh collection, the first instalment of the Disney collaboration, has landed in stores, with most product lines selling out within hours.

The British fashion and lifestyle brand said it experienced a record number of visits to its website, hitting a new record of over 3500 percent higher than usual, as customers bought up the collection across accessories, homeware, kids, and fashion.

The sale started with customers from the Disney x Cath Kidston priority email club, who were given the opportunity to shop the range early via a special access code, which then lead to a record average conversion rate in the first hour of launch, the brand has revealed, marking the “biggest ever full-price sales day” online for the retailer.

Commenting on the response to the launch, Sue Chidler, marketing director at Cath Kidston said: “We have had an incredible reaction to the Winnie-the-Pooh launch online and in-stores. We saw customers previewing the Winnie-the-Pooh range from 3pm and when we opened up access to the pre-sale, numbers soared almost immediately.

“We are absolutely delighted by the reaction from customers and really excited about the next launch in December to the Mickey and Minnie range, which is our next collaboration.”

Many products selling out within 24 hours featured many of the fashion items including the Balloon spot apron, Balloon spot open carry all with strap, Balloon spot foldaway overnight bag, Balloon spot mini reversible messenger bag, Balloon spot bookbag, A Day in the Hundred Acre Wood sweatshirt, Bramley Sprig and Friends classic box wash bag, and Balloon spot skirt.

Other highlights included the brand selling approximately 58 mugs every hour with the Balloon spot mug and breakfast cup and saucer selling out within hours.

The second Disney collection will feature Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse and will arrive in store and online on December 5. Further collections are set to roll out over time, with the Disney characters for these future ranges to be announced in due course.
