Footwear brand Crocs has opened an immersive pop-up store at Shoreditch’s BoxPark to highlight its Classic Clog style.
The ‘Crocs out the Box’ concept store will be open until July 30 and aims to “celebrate creativity, street style and the shoe that started it all: the iconic Classic Clog,” explained the footwear brand.
Crocs fans will be able to purchase the Classic Clogs in six colours - black, white, green, candy pink, lemon and slate grey, as well as “unleash their imagination” at the store’s customisation station, where they can 3D print limited-edition Jibbitz Charms.
The concept store will also exclusively unveil Crocs’ latest cooperation series with five artists with in-store events including live graffiti sessions, photography, and illustrations.
The artists include Shoreditch-based Graffiti Life, British photographer Eleanor Hardwicke, London-based illustrator and printmaker Ben Rider, gif-artist Salim Adam and Dutch, London-based conceptual photographer Marloes Haarman, who will each take over the store for one day to create “artwork inspired by Crocs’ ethos of individuality and self-expression”.
The London pop-up opening follows Crocs strong start to the year, as earlier this week it reported that overall revenues for the first quarter were up 4.5 percent (or 9 percent on a constant currency basis) to 295.9 million US dollars (226.82 millions pounds) compared to the same period in 2018.
The Crocs x BoxPark store in Shoreditch, London is open until July 30.
