Doddle launches 'runner' service

Doddle, which has a network of click-and-collect stores, has launched a new ‘runner’ service that collects parcels directly from customers.
The service uses specially trained ‘runners’ who will collect parcels from customers workplaces, home or even a cafe in less than an hour within EC1-EC4, and deliver them back to the nominated address or retailer.
Doddle doesn’t just pick up the parcel and return it but it will also wrap, post and track the parcel, meaning that returning a parcel has never been easier.
Currently the service, which is available via the free Doddle Runner app, is only available in select parts of East London, but the ‘runners’ are set to be rolled out across the capital over the next few months.
Each Doddle Runner can collect up to five parcels weighing up to 16 kilogram each, with maximum combined dimensions of 150 centimeter (longest side can be 60 centimeter). The service costs 5 pounds plus postage and the Doddle Runner app will provide a price estimate on the postage cost before the parcel is collected.
