Shopping service Dropit, which offers same-day delivery from ‘store to your door,' is launching on Regent Street this weekend as the London shopping area looks to become “completely bag-free”.

Launching at Regent Street’s summer streets festival, the service will allow shoppers on the popular shopping street to unburden their shopping bags, as instead of lugging bags on their shopping trip they will simply be able to drop them into a participating retailer or at a Dropit point and receive same day delivery at a time of their choice.

Karin Cabili, Dropit founder, explains: “Whether you shop at Armani, Gap, Burberry, Hunter or Uniqlo, Dropit revitalises the retail experience and allows the serious shopper to lighten their load and carry on shopping without their bags.

“Through our partnership with the Regent Street Association, Dropit is making Regent Street completely hands-free, so visitors are able to enjoy the Summer Streets festivities without the restriction and burden of shopping bags.”

Annie Walker, director Regent Street Association added: “Dropit offers an amazing hands-free secure shopping experience; shop ‘til you drop on Regent Street, deliver your shopping to the Dropit unit and go out to dinner at one of the many restaurants in the Regent Street Food Quarters knowing your shopping is safe and will be delivered to your hotel or home at the requested time.”

Dropit also has a similar partnership with the Crown Estates and is looking to expand the service across London, the UK and globally.
