Danish footwear brand Ecco has relocated to a larger store at St David’s in Cardiff.
The new store, located on Upper Grand Arcade near John Lewis, has been fitted with a modern industrial feel as a nod to the brand’s Scandinavian heritage, and features its full collection of footwear.
“Footwear brands are an important part of our fashion line-up and the positive trading figures across the festive period reflect our dedication to leasing relevant, leading brands that are popular with our visitors,” said Colin Flinn, intu’s regional managing director - west, on behalf of the St David’s Partnership - a joint venture between Landsec and intu.
“Ecco’s choice to upsize its unit is a result of its success at St David’s and its commitment to Cardiff.”
Jack Cleary, head of retail operations at Ecco added: “This prime location attracts the high-volume footfall we desire when selecting our store locations, and this was important when deciding to expand our presence at St. David’s.
“We are very excited to once again open our doors to the bustling and lively Cardiff, with a new and reimagined design which hopes to keep up with a marketplace, which is constantly growing and adapting.”
St David’s shopping centre currently provides over 1.4 million square feet of retail and leisure space, homes over 180 stores and sees annual footfall of 37 million.
