EDITED aids FlipKart and Yepme fuel India's E-commerce boom

Retail analytic software firm EDITED claims its is one of the companies pulling the strings behind the scenes fuelling India's e-commerce boom. With the demand for online marketplaces such as Flipkart, Myntra and Yepme predicted to reach a record-breaking all time high during this years holiday season, data from EDITED has helped these marketplaces streamline their offering for consumers across India's unpredictable market.

"India is an extremely diverse country with an unbelievably wide range of customer choices and market trends. This is where EDITED data plays a crucial role for us in fashion," commented Rishi Vasudev, Vice President of Fashion at Flipkart. The online marketplace, known as one of India's leading e-commerce platforms uses EDITED data to help manage its 12 to 15 percent month-on-month increase in its fashion division.

"Our focus is to build the largest and most relevant selection across all price points, and we rely heavily on data and technology to drive this," continued Vasudev. "EDITED tells us the latest trends across India and the globe. We use it to build a great selection and effectively merchandise our products so we remain the most relevant lifestyle destination in India."

Yepme, the country's largest online fast-fashion retailer uses data from EDITED to commercially assess assortments inside and outside of India in order to gauge which styles and items will work prior to investing in them. "Being a fast-fashion brand, we are constantly tracking brands and emerging trends in different markets," said Anand Jadhav, President and co-founder of Yepme. "With EDITED, the data we get on products across many brands and retailers is very rich and helps us reduce our margin of error on the product side."
