Belgian fashion label Essentiel Antwerp will enter the German market next month. The brand will open its first independent shop in Cologne on December 15, various media report.

After Cologne, Essentiel Antwerp will also launch a German online shop in 2018.

The Belgian brand already expanded into Asia earlier this year with a shop in China. It also opened corners in Berlin, Munich and Hamburg. The retailer was already operating branches in the Netherlands, France, Switzerland, Spain and South Korea and is sold at over 800 multi-brand shops worldwide.

Essentiel Antwerp was founded in 1999 by Esfan Eghtessadi and Inga Onsea. They managed to expand the simple T-shirt collection with which they launched the brand into an international fashion brand that is currently represented in 40 countries worldwide.
