Farfetch introduces same-day delivery

Indie online platform Farfetch has introduced same-day delivery in nine cities for orders placed by 10am local time, Monday to Friday.

The same-day delivery option is available in London, New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Barcelona, Madrid, Milan, Rome and Paris. Currently, the service is only available for specific postal codes in London, which are determined at checkout.

Farfetch works with 300 boutiques and not all stores are able to offer the same-day deliver, key stores including Feathers in London, Kirna Zabête in New York, The Webster in Miami, and Excelsior in Milan will offer the service.

Farfetch founder and CEO José Neves said: “Our customers are at the heart of what we do. Following our customers' feedback, we wanted to provide a more far-reaching same-day delivery service than traditional models and we are excited to be able to launch it in a big way - in nine major cities.

“Our goal is to provide a 360-degree shopping experience like no other and our same day delivery service is another layer of commitment to our loyal Farfetch customer base.”

The launch of the same-day service follows the investment the online platform received earlier this year. The funds were earmarked to help expand the platform’s international reach, launch new local language websites, as well as introduce same-day delivery.
