Lacoste, Joules, East, Oasis, Dune, Superdry and Sunglasses Boutique are joining the retail offering at Stansted Airport as part of the final retail phase of a 80 million pounds terminal transformation programme.

The new retailers will sit alongside Hugo Boss, Ted Baker, Mulberry, Swarovski and Accessorize who will return to the departure lounge this autumn.

The retail development proved quite popular, with the airport’s managing director Andrew Harrison stating that they had received more than 80 proposals for the remaining 18 units within the final retail phase of the terminal transformation.

Harrison added: “The 80 million pounds investment project to transform Stansted’s terminal and departure lounge is now in its third and final stage and I’m delighted to unveil the line-up of global and high street brands, returning favourites and exciting new concepts that have secured their positions and set to open for business later this autumn.

“We only announced this ambitious investment programme two years ago so it’s a fantastic achievement to successfully deliver the project within such a tight timeframe and during a period of rapid passenger growth at Stansted.”

Phase one of the international departure lounge saw the opening of a walk-through World Duty Free store and eight new retail units, while phase two increase the choice of cafes, bars and restaurants, including the arrival of 12 brands and the airport’s first-ever Escape Lounge.
