American fashion and lifestyle brand Gant is expanding in the UK with the opening of its latest store in London’s St. Pancras International railway station this week.
The 1,860 square foot store will offer men’s and women’s collections and will be located in the station’s downstairs Arcade, which currently has more than one million commuters passing through on a weekly basis.
“The combination of domestic and international travellers, along with a growing number of workplace customers, affords us a great opportunity to showcase our brand in what I hope to be the first of a number of travel locations for Gant in the UK,” said Fergus Patterson, managing director of Gant for the UK and Ireland.
The space will add to Gant’s 18 standalone UK stores, but marks the brand’s first railway station store. It will sit alongside other top fashion brands including L.K Bennett, Thomas Pink and Whistles, which also reside at the station.
In keeping with St. Pancras’ historic origins, the building is a listed neo-Gothic structure dating back to 1863, Gant has worked with representatives at the English Heritage, which protects notable sites across England, to create a retail space that is in keeping with the station’s Victorian architecture, while also being influenced by its US heritage.
