British sportswear brand Gola is expanding into eyewear with its first optical range, Gola Classics, a unisex offering that mixes sports with fashion.

Launching for autumn/winter 2015, the Gola Classics eyewear features bold, bright colourways aimed to be a modern take on the 1970s trends. The line debuts with 58 styles for men and women, including retro Aviator and Wayfarer eye-shapes.

Caron Kraitt, design director for Gola Eyewear said: “We are very excited to be launching the debut Gola Classics Eyewear collection; this truly iconic British brand has an incredible fashion and sports history.

“Each frame is designed and engineered to include classic Gola elements and sportive details together with strong, contemporary styling to create a very special eyewear collection.”

The line has been made in collaboration with glasses manufacturer Concept Eyewear, who also holds the licences for Hardy Amies, JK London and Podium London eyewear lines.

The collection will retail at 85 pounds.
