Swedish fast-fashion chain Hennes & Mauritz has signed a 15 year lease for "major space" at Exchange, in Ilford, the main shopping centre within the London Borough of Redbridge.
Meyer Bergman, the European real estate investment management firm, announced today that H&M has taken a lease for a new 20,000 square foot (1,858 square meter) store spanning two floors within the Exchange. The new store, which spans two floors, is located opposite Debenhams and is set to open sometime next fall. The signed unit is said to be H&M's prefer store space and will offer the brand's full apparel range.
"The Asset Management team have remained focused on bringing the best UK and international brands to Exchange Ilford, working together with retailers to create the right space and environment for them to thrive here," commented Renee Moran, Asset Manager and Vice President at Meyer Bergman. "Creating the right space for H&M is a defining moment for the centre, and adds to an exceptional tenant mix. We look forward to announcing further deals in the next 6 months."
News of the H&M store opening comes not long after the recent Sports Direct relocation at Exchange Ilford.
