Fashion retailer H&M has signed a five-store deal at Westfield Stratford City in London to relocate and expand its current store in the shopping centre.

The Swedish fast-fashion chain plans to create a “full concept flagship store” that will span 70,000 square foot, making it is the largest store in the UK.

Upon completion the flagship H&M store will offer all concepts including the brands own Home and Beauty ranges, alongside its fashion collections for women, men and children.

The announcement follows the news that the brand would be expanding another store in London. It is relocating and upsizing its Covent Garden store to allow for a dedicated beauty area, which will have its own separate entrance. The store on Mercer’s Walk is expected to open on December 8 and will span across four floors.

Further information on the new larger Westfield Stratford City store will follow in spring 2017 the retailer stated.

H&M opened its first store in the UK in 1976, 40 years later it current has more than 260 stores across the UK and Ireland. In total, it operates more than 4,100 stores in 62 markets.
