French contemporary label IKKS, which caters for women, men and children, has opened its first UK store on South Molton Street.
The 540 square foot store will house the brand’s ready-to-wear womenswear collection, as well as accessories, bags and footwear. It will sit alongside other French brands in the area including Maje, Sandro, Claudie Pierlot and Comptoir des Cotonniers, which all chose the location due to its prominent to Oxford Street, Selfridges and Bond Street.
The opening is part of the brand’s ambition plans to expand both its retail and wholesale presence in the UK, which has been help by investment fund LBO France acquiring a stake in the business. The French brand also has stores across France, as well as Spain, Belgium, Italy, Luxembourg and Germany.
Even though this is the first standalone presence, IKKS has been available in the UK through wholesale accounts, via its own website and online multi-brand retailers including Zalando and Children Salon.
