Located on the Damrak, in the middle of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, the store spans over 8.200 square meters across 7 floors. The new store, which sits alongside of second Primark's flagship store in The Hague, features its full range, including women's wear, men's wear, children's wear, footwear, accessories, beauty and homeware. The debut flagship store also features a 'trend room' as well as 'recharge' stations throughout the store, where shoppers can relax and charge their mobiles phones.

As the largest store in Europe, Primark Amsterdam expects to serve over 10,000 customers in its new store every day, including tourists as well as locals. "We are very pleased to be opening our first store in the heart of Amsterdam," said Ronald Voogt, Managing Director for Primark in the Netherlands and Belgium. "It is a an important opening for Primark and we are looking forward to expanding our reach and bringing Primark to even more customers."

Although the store is not nearly as large as Primark's biggest store in the UK, currently located in Manchester and spanning 14,400 sqaure meter, the Irish fashion value retailer still needs to sell 4,007 pairs of jeans retailing at 17 euros per day in order to cover its annual Amsterdam store rent of 24,861,000 euros (21,191,800 pounds) according to calculations made FashionUnited.
