Following the opening of Ted Baker's shop-in-shop in local department store de Bijenkorf, comes the opening of official opening of the brand's debut standalone store in the center of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Located at Leidsestraat 64, the store offers both Ted Baker men's wear and women's wear autumn-winter '15 collections as well as accessories. Similar to Ted Baker's other stand alone stores, the new store in Amsterdam has its own in-store theme created around the Dutch classical painters and artists, ranging from van Bauhaus to Theo van Doesburg.

The floors consist of the characteristic Dutch parquet wood panel, laid in a T-pattern, and have been lined with an edge of Delft blue tiles. The walls inside bear impressionistic images and paintings. By the cash register on the ground floor, golden frames can been seen artfully displayed along side of paint cans, brushed, palette and easels scattered across the store to make it deel like more like an artists workshop or studio than a store.

The uniqueness of the store interior comes to no surprise - in a previous interiew with FashionUnited, Ted Baker's founder and CEO Ray Kelvin revealed that he was "very into interior design," and keen to keep each store's look unique. "We have always resisted being a chain - we have always worked to be independent, so I do not ever want to get to a size where we would want to replicate everything. Every store we have is different and suits its surroundings."
