Jack Wolfskin is set to open a new, standalone store in Liverpool One, a 250,000 square meter retail and leisure destination managed by Grosvenor Europe.

The outdoor apparel retailer has signed a lease for a 3,216 square foot unit within the centre, slated to open next month. It will be the eighth standalone store the brand opens in the UK and the new store is said to enhance the brand's "significant foothold" in the North of England, which includes stores in Leeds and York.

"As former sponsor of Liverpool FC, Jack Wolfskin has strong ties to the city and a loyal local following. We are therefore very pleased to have secured one of its first parent company stores in the North of England in Liverpool," said Paul Nicholson, associate director in the retail team at Savills, which represented the brand in a deal, in a statement.

Jack Wolfskin joins the likes of The White Company and Bravissimo, which signed up to open new stores in Liverpool One this year.
