Fashion and lifestyle retailer Joules is set to open its biggest ever store on Edinburgh’s George Street later this month.

The 3,375 square foot store is set to open on August 24 and will replace the retailer’s existing store, which was also based on George Street.

The new bigger store will house all of Joules’ key collections including womenswear, menswear, childrenswear, and homeware, featuring the bold prints that the brand is known for.

Joules has set itself ambitious goals to open 10-12 stores per year, following its admission to the AIM Market in May 2016. The Edinburgh opening follows that of Stratford upon Avon on August 11, and will be the eighth store Joules has opened in six months.

Commenting on the opening, Joules chief executive officer, Colin Porter, said: “We’re proud of the way that our retail stores really showcase our brand personality and allow us to engage with our customers, so to open our biggest ever is a very exciting milestone. Given the warm response from our customers to our previous store in the city, opening a bigger store here felt like a natural step.”

Joules was founded in 1989 in Market Harborough by Tom Joule and started with 100 pairs of pink wellies, in the past five years, the brand has sold more than 1.6 million pairs of Wellington boots with various floral, stripe, and dog designs.

The fashion retailer is now a multi-channel lifestyle brand, Joules has collections spanning womenswear, menswear, childrenswear, homewares, toiletries and eyewear, which are distributed across retail stores, online, catalogue mail order, wholesale and licensing channels.
