Womenswear designer Judy Wu, who last month was named an emerging designer to watch from London Fashion Week, has confirmed that she is to open her first London boutique in the form of a pop-up store in the Connaught Village retail and restaurant district.

The pop-up store will open March 14 until April 10 and will stock Wu’s spring/summer 2016 collection that showcases feminine strength and sensuality with intricate embellishments and engineered colour blocking.

Wu, a Central Saint Martins graduate, chose Connaught Street for her debut store due to the “synergies between her boutique label and the other leading independent fashion brands in Connaught Village,” which includes The Place London, featuring Alice Archer, Lucy Choi’s footwear and Eliza Jane Howell.

Joanna Love from the Church Commissioners, said: “We are really excited to welcome Judy Wu to the Village to be the latest addition to our growing independent fashion line-up.

“Judy Wu follows on from the successful launches of The Place London with Simon Burstein of Browns fame, Lucy Choi London and Kokoro. Through our tenant strategy, we are building something special at the heart of the Hyde Park Estate with leading independent brands with unique offers in the fashion, design and food and beverage sectors.”

The Judy Wu pop-up will be open from March 14 - April 10.
