Lee Wrangler is set to open its debut outlet store in the UK. Opening in time for Christmas, parent company VF Corporation has signed a lease for a 1,900 square foot unit at London Designer Outlet (LDO) in Wembley Park.
The new outlet store will offer the full range of Lee and Wrangler jeans, shirts and jackets for both men and women. "With excellent footfall, and the right customer profile for our brands, LDO is the perfect place to open our first UK outlet store," said Damien Ladwa, Country Manager for UK & Eire at VF Corporation. "Because of the large student population nearby and people visiting the neighbouring SSE Arena and Wembley Stadium on event days, we’re sure we’ll trade really well."
As London's only fashion outlet, LDO holds a strong track record, spanning 265,000 square feet of retail and leisure space and includes 70 outlet stores, bars and restaurants. The fashion and lifestyle outlet centre offers a wide range of brands with up to 70 per cent of the recommended retail price throughout the year including Gap, Jack Wills, Nike, Levi's, Kurt Geiger and H&M.
"LDO is one of a small number of ‘new wave’ outlet centres that blend retail, f&b, leisure and residential within an urban setting," commented Susanne Morris, Leasing Manager for LDO. "Add to that, excellent transport links, nearby offices filled with workers and world class local attractions, and the commercial appeal and advantages for international brands such as Lee Wrangler become clear."
