Canadian yoga and lifestyle brand Lululemon is opening its European flagship store on London’s Regent Street this winter. The company is working together with The Crown Estate, which owns Regent Street and the majority of St James’s, to open the store at 187-189 Regent Street.
The new store is replacing Gant, which is currently located at that address and will move to another location on Regent Street. The location covers 8,200 square feet and will feature the brand’s ‘fantastic range of cutting edge, technical sportswear, whilst providing a truly unique and innovative in-store experience for shoppers’, says Katerina Mercury, asset manager for The Crown Estate’s Regent Street portfolio.
The new store will bring Lululemon’s presence in London to five stores, with earlier locations in Covent Garden, Marylebone High Street, King’s Road, Westfield White City, and in Richmond-upon-Thames in Surrey.
Meanwhile, the Crown Estate has opened a spate of stores with foreign brands on Regent Street in the past year. These include Michael Kors and Kate Spade New York. Polo Ralph Lauren and Coach are set to open later this year.
