Luxury footwear label Manolo Blahnik has opened a shop-in-shop in London's Selfridges. The unveiling of the new boutique, which took place on Monday, comes a mere five months after the brand opened a stand-alone store in the Burlington Arcade in Mayfair.

The concept for the Selfridges boutique was developed by the designer together with Nick Leith - Smith Architecture and design. The 753-square-feet shop is located on the second floor, just outside the east entrance to the luxury shoe department.

To commemorate the event, the brand launched a limited-edition black patent sandal with white piping. Upon purchasing a pair, customers are given a framed sketch of the shoe, drawn and signed by the designer himself.

Manolo Blahnik currently has 290 points of sale in 33 countries, 11 stand-alone stores and a brand-new e-commerce platform, which it launched earlier this year.

Despite a general decrease in the sales growth of luxury goods, Manolo Blahnik said that it’s new Burlington Arcade store and already exceeded its targets for 2016, with sales 51 percent ahead of targets.
