Massimo Dutti marks Soft launch with VR experience

London - Inditex’s premium label Massimo Dutti is taking a step into the world of virtual reality for the launch of its new capsule collection, Soft.

The new menswear collection Soft, includes quilted jackets, polos, cotton t-shirts and trousers, crafted from high quality premium fabrics. Featuring elegant and clean silhouettes to offer its clientele stylish everyday wear, Soft is currently available online only via Massimo Dutti debut VR store, offering customers a new shopping experience. The VR store can be accessed and navigated via a VR headset, such as the Samsung VR or Google cardboard.

The VR shopping experience can also be viewed online using a laptop or smartphone as a 360 degree panoramic view, which lets customers “walk” around the VR store and select items form the collection for purchase. Customers can then chose to pay for their items through the standard online checkout, or inside the VR store, although Inditex has yet to get its hand on Alibaba’s VR pay, which lets consumers complete a transaction by simply nodding.
