American designer Michael Kors has opened a new store on Sloane Street in London dedicated to his catwalk Collection line, housing the brand’s ready-to-wear and accessories from the Michael Kors Collection.
The 1,800 square foot store, which marks the brand’s sixth standalone central London store, will also carry the label’s watches, jewellery, footwear, eyewear and a selection of its fragrances.
The interior of the store has been designed by the brand’s in-house team to “echo the label’s casual-chic aesthetic”, using elements like sleek fixtures, mirrored surfaces and glossy, large-scale vintage photographs to evoke jet set glamour and timeless sophistication.
Commenting on the new store, Michael Kors said: “London is one of my favourite cities. It’s fast-paced, glamorous and international with a truly unique style. I love the way women in London dress, and I’m delighted to be opening this Collection store on Sloane Street which is undeniably chic.”
The store will also sell the ‘Bespoke Miranda’, the brand’s first custom-made product initiative that allows customers to create a signature handbag with an entirely personalised feel. The handbag can be made from a choice of 19 luxurious matte or shiny crocodile finishes for an exquisite exterior, as well as artisanal accents like monogram colour, luxe linings and high-shine hardware to ensure a distinctive handbag with a unique, tailor-made aesthetic.
The London Sloane Street store is the only UK store taking part in the customised programme, joining Paris, Rodeo Drive, Chicago, Palm Beach, Cannes, Shanghai and Beijing who also offer the Bespoke Miranda.
