Online fashion retailer Missguided is taking its collections to the high street with the opening of its first physical store by launching an exclusive concession in Selfridges Manchester Trafford.

The opening of its first UK concession in Selfridges, due to open later today, Monday, June 8, follows the launch of its first concessions with US department store Nordstrom last month.

The concession in Selfridges will occupy 420 square feet, between Topshop and Warehouse, and will offer a range of Missguided clothing, footwear and accessories with the product themes changing every four weeks in line with the Missguided website.

Commenting on the opening, Nitin Passi, founder and managing director of Missguided, said: “We’ve witnessed huge growth over the last six years and successfully expanded the business into new markets which was a key priority.

“Our focus now is all about experimentation with the brand, trying new and innovative ways to engage a wider market and allowing consumers more diverse ways to shop and interact with Missguided. We’re really excited to be offering our first physical in-store collection for UK consumers.”

Vicki Cain, general manager of Selfridges, added: “We’re delighted to be welcoming a fresh, fast fashion brand like Missguided to Selfridges and anticipate that the collection will sell very well in our Manchester stores.

“Selfridges is the destination for fashion firsts and we are excited to be the first retailer to partner with Missguided to create an in-store destination where customers can see and shop product.”

The launch of Missguided’s first concession in the UK will be celebrated with a launch event in Selfridges on June 11 from 6 to 9pm with DJs, personal stylists, and competitions.
