British teen e-tailer Missguided is set to unveil a Tinder-inspired app next week.

The transactional app, which will be available in the UK for download from March 8, will feature a new shopping style, based on Tinder swiping options, known as “Swipe to Hype.” In order to develop its own-branded shopping style, Misguided worked with app development platform Poq, which built the ”Swipe to Hype” section.

“Our customers has been asking for a shopping app for a while and we wanted to ensure we delivered something that offered more than our mobile site,” said Nitin Passi, founder and CEO of Missguided. “The app is being treated as its own channel that we are growing as part of our multichannel strategy. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Poq and will continue to devlelop technology to support our line and offline strategy.”

The impending app launch comes as Missguided reveals plans to expand its physical retail arm by moving from operating shop-in-shops to opening own-brand stores.
