Missguided to open debut store at Westfield Stratford

Online retailer Missguided is preparing to open its debut stand alone store at Westfield Stratford City in London. The fashion etailer has it sights set on taking over a 16,000 square foot store on the first floor of the shopping centre from Dutch retailer The Sting, according to Retail Week.
Similarly to other online retailers, such as Amazon and Made.com, Missguided is seeking to expand its presence by opening a string of its own-branded stores. The new store opening at Westfield Stratford is said to mark the start of the retailer’s new retail roll-out scheme, which will see Missguided open stand alone stores within the UK’s high streets as well as shopping centres.
The move follows on from Missguided concessions stand openings, which saw the fashion retailer open its first UK stand in Selfridges at Manchester’s Trafford Centre last June, followed by a second concession stand opening in Selfridges Exchange Square in Manchester in November.
