British footwear brand Moda in Pelle has opened its first concession in House of Fraser as part of its expansion plans under the director of chief executive David Inglis to make the brand the “go-to brand for high quality, accessible footwear and accessories”.
The concession in House of Fraser on Oxford Street is the first to open and will be followed by concessions in the department stores Edinburgh and Cardiff branches, which will open on September 30 and October 7, respectively.
Each concession will house an extensive selection from the autumn/winter 2015 collection, including Italian leather boots, trend-led footwear and matching clutch bags with a core focus on quality, comfort and design.
Inglis said: “We want to make Moda in Pelle accessible to everyone looking for great quality footwear. Our fantastic new designs, premium fabrics and intricate detailing brings some exciting new style updates which compliment our core designs to show breadth and variety in the collections.
“It’s great to see our UK customer wearing Moda in Pelle for every occasion with women of all ages now wearing our shoes.”
Moda in Pelle continues expansion
The concessions feature a new design concept created by Furniss and May, which combines classic and contemporary design, with wall panelling, timber herringbone flooring and marble-effect porcelain plinths capturing the heritage of the brand, complemented with a bronze mirror and polished brass-plated, stainless steel and glass fixtures.
Commenting on the design, Simon May, co-founder of Furniss and May added: “We wanted to create a scaleable retail store design that reflects Moda in Pelle's key values of offering 'accessible luxury' footwear, retaining the brand’s existing loyal customers while also appealing to a wider audience.”
As well as adding concession stores, Moda in Pelle is also continuing to open more standalone stores including recent opening in Cardiff, Oxford and Henley. In addition, the brand has gone from a refresh of late to update all elements of the brand from the design process through to the end shopping experience including a new brand logo, packaging, website redesign and a refreshing new shop fit.
