MSGM to open debut UK store at London's Brompton Cross

Italian luxury fashion brand MSGM is set to open its first standalone store in the UK. The move sees MSGM opening up shop at 278 Brompton Cross, as the brand continues its retail expansion.
MSGM has signed a 10-year lease for the ground floor and basement level of the building, taking up 2,000 square feet. Located in the centre of Brompton Cross and adjacent to other premium retailers such as Acne, Joseph, and Carven, the UK store opening comes as MSGM prepares to launch a pop-up store in Selfridges this July. "
MSGM has undergone exceptional growth over the last few years and we are delighted its first UK store will be at Brompton Cross," said Tiffany Luckett, associate director in the Central London retail team at Savills, in a statement. "This is a testament to the success of the area and its reputation as a renowned destination for luxury brands."
The debut UK store will also feature a new concept that has been specially designed together with MSGM's founder and creative director Massimo Giorgetti, according to a report from WWD. "Instead of hiring an archistar, we decided to directly take care of the project," said Giorgetti to WWD. "The new concept will be a celebration of the things I love, including marble, colors, references to Gio Ponti and the Memphis movement, and it will also include plants and natural elements."
Founded in 2009 by Giorgetti, together with The Paloni Group, the brand has been celebrated as one of the best emerging brands in the industry. MSGM opened its debut flagship store in Milan in 2013 and aims to open a US flagship store in New York's SoHo in 2019. Partly owned by Style Capital, MSGM is increasing its retail presence, having recently opened stores in Xian and Beijing, China as well as in Seoul, South Korea.
