British fashion brand Mulberry has opened a new flagship store in Stockholm on Birger Jarlsgatan, a luxury shopping destination that includes Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Max Mara.

The new 1,290 square foot store marks a bigger store for the city and brings the flagship inline with the brand’s other international flagships including New Bond Street in London, Rue Saint-Honoré in Paris, Spring Street in New York and Harbour City in Hong Kong.

The store also cements a long partnership with Eva and Conny Lindstrom, Mulberry's franchise partners, who first brought the brand to Sweden in 1984.

To celebrate the opening, new creative director Johnny Coca, launched the flagship alongside chief executive Thierry Andretta, with a cocktail party in store. Guests included Martina Bonnier, Jonna Bergh, Columbine Smille, and Konrad Olsson.

Commenting on the opening, Andretta, said: "Stockholm has always been an important place for Mulberry and we have received great support from our local Swedish customers over the years.

“We are delighted to offer them a flagship store where they will have the space to browse and enjoy Mulberry's lifestyle collections designed with a new edge of creativity by Johnny Coca."

Coca, added: "Mulberry's Swedish customers have always been at the heart of the brand, their approach to design is honest, modern, fashion forward and timeless. I am delighted to come to Stockholm to inaugurate our new store and I look forward to our close relationship continuing to grow.”
