The Crown Estate has confirmed that refurbishment works will start at Crowngate Shopping Centre in Worcester in March.
The works is part of a 1.5 million pounds investment by The Crown Estate in Worcester and will see the Angel Place entrance to the shopping centre redevelopment including new windows and a new shopping centre elevation, which will modernise the entrance and introducing a new window box with improved signage throughout.
Nicole Campbell, asset manager at The Crown Estate, said in a statement: “Our plans to refurbish the façade of Angel Place will help enhance this part of the city and create a more welcoming entrance to Friary walk.
“We believe our investment into Friary Walk will benefit the whole city as it will attract more visitors and more businesses to Worcester, creating opportunities for existing businesses as well as giving an opportunity for new brands to come to the area.”
The aim of the improvement works to surrounding public realm and market place is to create a better environment for shoppers, added the property company.
The shopping centre will remain open throughout the works, with stores trading as normal.
