Tala to open first store outside London in Edinburgh
UK activewear brand Tala is set to open its first store outside London at Westfield St James Quarter in Edinburgh in November 2026, marking its third UK retail location.
Founded by entrepreneur Grace Beverley in 2019, Tala entered physical retail in May 2025 with its Carnaby Street store, followed by a second location at Westfield London in November of the same year.
The Edinburgh store will offer Tala’s full product range and will build on the retail experience developed across its two London locations, with personalised service and an immersive brand experience.
Sally Hughes-Daniels, CEO of Tala, said the success of its London stores had “proven our retail model” and that the brand was now ready to expand beyond the capital.
She added: “Expanding beyond London has long been in the works, but for our first step outside the capital it was so important that we found a location that felt a natural fit for Tala, and Edinburgh ticks every box.
“We already know we have a great Tala community in Edinburgh, and the city’s strong outdoor and active culture makes it the perfect place for us to put down roots.”
The move follows a period of investment in physical retail for Tala, which raised five million pounds in 2024 from investors including Pembroke VCT, Venrex and Active Partners to support international expansion.
The brand reported a 19 percent increase in revenue to 19.8 million pounds for the year ended March 31, 2025, driven by wholesale expansion, yet recorded an operating loss of 1.9 million pounds as it increased investment ahead of its retail rollout.
Tala has previously said it plans to open additional stores in the UK and internationally over the next three years.
