Dutch multi-fashion retailer The Sting has launched its first webstore in the UK, following the opening of its flagship store at Piccadilly Circus in 2011 and its second store opening in Westfield Stratford City in 2012.
The new online store offers customers free returns, as well as the option to collect orders placed online in store. The UK webshop offers all of the Sting's 20 in-house brands, including Costes, with its current design based on the original site currently in use in the Netherlands.
However, both websites are scheduled for a redesign later this year following the introduction of the Sting's new corporate identity. Additional options on the UK website's homepage help customers navigate to their men’s and women’s collections, which are updated weekly with new lines, while a brand directory and look book imagery are designed to aid them in finding their perfect outfits.
The Sting was first founded in 1982, in the Netherlands and was inspired by the Sixties, hippie culture, pop music and the feeling of freedom. The retailer's name comes from the 1973 film ‘The Sting’ starring Paul Newman and Robert Redford.
