Menswear designer Todd Snyder has opened a pop-up in East Hampton. The Hamptons, which is eternally a popular summer travel destination, is known to play home to many summer pop-ups for fashion brands looking to capitalize on the "summer bird" clientele. Even with travel numbers being low because of the coronavirus pandemic, many affluent New Yorkers went out to the Hamptons to quarantine driving the customer base out there.
The pop-up shops offerings focus on leisure wear and also features a beach edit. Located at 50 Main Street in East Hampton, the store will carry some of Snyder’s past collaborators and favorite brands including Champion, Hartford Swim, Moscot, Miansai, and Rivieras. There is also an "online only" section, featuring styles customers can see and feel in person and have delivered directly to their homes.
“We have always wanted to test a store in the Hamptons and this seemed like the perfect opportunity," Snyder said in a statement. "Everyone is living life a bit differently these days and we saw a demand outside of Manhattan and feel that our customer may be looking to stay in the Hamptons a bit longer this year, so let’s help him look a bit more stylish in quarantine.”
The Todd Snyder pop-up opens today and will be open 7 days a week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. In accordance with state and CDC guidelines, the store will be following all health and safety procedures including limiting capacity, taking digital appointments, PPE stations at the entrance, mask requirements and disinfecting after use of dressing rooms.
