Capsule collections seem to be all the rage this year, and Versace has taken note, after all, they couldn't let their competitors like Louis Vuitton have all the glory. The Italian luxury fashion house will be launching a capsule collection that will pay homage to their hometown of Milan, Italy. When your hometown has one of the wealthiest artistic histories in the world you are sure to have one knockout collection as well.

Today the collection goes on sale, and all the items will have baroque details, and won't be just an homage to Milan either. The innovative collection will also honor the Galleria Vittoria Emanuel II, which Versace helped rebuild. Last September, Versace opened a new boutique in the historic site.

While the boutique at the Galleria Vittoria Emanuele II is currently the only boutique that will be carrying Versace's Ornamental Collection, fear not, because it will also be made available through Versace's e-commerce channel. Somewhere in heaven Versace is sure to be smiling, because his namesake label could do no greater honor than paying tribute to its roots. Hopefully Versace is ready for the website traffic coming, because they are sure to get their share of shoppers.
