Vivaia expands US retail presence with first California store at Westfield Valley Fair
Global footwear brand Vivaia has expanded its US retail footprint with the opening of its first West Coast location at Westfield Valley Fair in Santa Clara. The launch marks the company's debut in California as it continues to grow its physical presence across key markets.
The opening follows a period of international retail growth for the direct-to-consumer (D2C) brand. Vivaia surpassed 100 locations globally in 2026, with the California store representing a strategic step in bringing its comfort-focused footwear to brick-and-mortar shoppers in the region.
Spanning 1,141 square feet, the Santa Clara space introduces Vivaia’s latest retail concept. The interior is designed to deliver a bright, product-focused environment that highlights the brand’s core footwear offerings.
Creative direction and product assortment
The retail space houses a curated selection of Vivaia’s core models alongside Re:Work, the inaugural autumn/winter collection created under creative director Alan Buanne. The AW range reimagines classic workwear footwear through updated shapes, technical materials, and original colorways while maintaining an emphasis on ergonomic construction.
Key styles offered at the new location include:
- Carol: a square-toe jogger sneakerina featuring a flexible Bubble outsole that has sold more than 17,800 pairs in 2026 to date
- Cristina: a square-toe lace-up satin sneakerina constructed with a triple-layer sole, which can be styled with the Vivaia x NYCB Jewels Ribbon Laces & Charm Set
- Margot Mary Jane: the brand's core square-toe silhouette built around a cushioned insole
- Allday: a unisex slip-on mesh sneaker designed for travel and everyday wear
- Buna: a machine-washable round-toe clog mule featuring a 97-millimeter toe box and anti-slip outsole
- Avoir: a travel loafer crafted from recycled nylon, designed to fold into a portable storage bag
Founded in 2020, Vivaia distributes sustainable footwear D2C across more than 61 countries and regions globally. The company collaborates with international supply partners to incorporate recycled materials across its product line.
