British fashion designer Vivienne Westwood has opened her debut store for her eponymous fashion label in Paris at last.

Located at 175 rue Saint-Honore, inside a historic building, the store spans 1,200 square feet across two floors and features the fashion house’s three apparel labels; Vivienne Westwood Femme and Homme, Anglomania and Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood, as well as its full accessories ranges and bridal and evening wear selections.

The debut store opening coincidence with Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood Spring/Summer 2017 show in the French capital during Paris Fashion Week and features a capsule collection of 20 unisex pieces from the range which went for sale immediately following the show. “It has been a dream of mine for 25 years to have a store in Paris,” said Kronthaler to WWD during the store opening.

The store’s interior reflects the brand’s values and DNA by featuring a wide range of raw materials, such as plywood, steel and resin. “I wanted it to be a bit rough-looking so it’s all not very finished because I think nowadays you don’t need to have these highly lost over production anymore,” added Kronthaler. The new store interior is set to be rolled out to other Vivienne Westwood stores around the globe over the next few months.

Following the store opening in Paris, Vivienne Westwood aims to open a flagship store on Fifth Avenue in New York later this month, which will include a showroom for the fashion house. The debut New York store will be the fashion house’s second standalone store to open in the United States and joins the Vivienne Westwood store in Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles.
