Online retail giant Zalando has extended its Partner Programme to the UK in order to ensure their overseas customers have access to an even "wider range of products" and improved selection of goods.
The German-based online platform will be working closely together with selected UK retailers and labels, offering them the chance to present and sell their items on Zalando.
Partner brands and retailers which match Zalando's standards regarding quality are then checked against a list of strict criteria, including product quality, relevance of assortment, such as fashion, footwear and accessories, their ability to match the Zalando customer offer, which includes free delivery and free returns within 100 days and their capacity to match Zalando's quality standards in terms of logistics, delivery, product presentation and other relevant aspects.

“The focus is always on the consumer. We aim to increase local relevance by attracting more brands from the UK, whilst at the same time maintaining our high standards to create the best shopping experience for our customers,” explains Robert Schütze, Country Manager for the UK at Zalando. “The first partner has just been launched in the UK and we want to continue working with more brands and retailers who fit our portfolio, fulfil our standards and bring something new to the Zalando website."
Zalando believes that the partnership offers brands and retailers the opportunity to connect with its broad customer base, whilst giving them the chance to benefit from its e-commerce expertise. The online platform will ensure everything runs smoothly apart from logistical aspects, such as order and payment processing, returns and customer care, whilst Partners are responsible for shipping and delivery.
The Partner Programme is currently live in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Italy, Luxembourg and Austria, working together with over 170 brands.
