Celine cancels catwalk show

Celine has unexpectedly cancelled its catwalk show this season. In order to take the

pressure off designer du jour and Celine creative director, Phoebe Philo, who is expecting a child, LVMH have opted for an intimate presentation.

"A runway show is a very demanding and personal engagement for a creative director," Marco Gobbetti, chief executive officer of Celine, told WWD. "The objective is to simplify."

Whilst exact details haven’t been finalised, the much anticipated collection will still be shown at the same date and time; March 4th at 1pm.
