JOB PURPOSE

We are hiring an RTR Accountant to join Burberry Business Services, supporting the integrity and accuracy of our financial reporting. This role plays a key part in delivering high‑quality month‑end and balance sheet outcomes that underpin confident decision‑making across Burberry. You will work at the intersection of precision, collaboration and continuous improvement within a global luxury business. Based in Leeds, this is an opportunity to build strong technical foundations while contributing to a modern finance function.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver accurate and timely month‑end journals, including accruals, prepayments, payroll and provisions.
Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, resolving reconciling items with clarity and pace.
Support cash flow forecasting and reporting, providing clear analysis of movements.
Produce RTR reporting to meet internal and external requirements.
Respond to ad‑hoc queries with well‑considered analysis, prioritising effectively during close cycles.
Identify and support improvements to processes, controls and documentation in partnership with Finance and BBS colleagues.

PERSONAL PROFILE

Part‑qualified accountant, studying towards ACA, ACCA, CIMA or willingness to begin studies.
Sound understanding of month‑end close and balance sheet accounting principles.
Experience preparing reconciliations and supporting audit processes.
Confident working with data in Excel, with the ability to explain movements clearly.
Comfortable operating in a collaborative, deadline‑driven environment.
Curious, detail‑focused and motivated to develop technical knowledge and ownership.
