Centre for Fashion Enterprise announces New Fashion Pioneer programme winners

London - The Centre for Fashion Enterprise (CFE) has announced its latest roster of designers for its New Fashion Pioneer programme. The selected designers who will be supported on the six month programme include: British menswear designer Alex Mullins, concept led designers Ben Cottrell and Matthew Dainty collectively known as Cottweiler, London based designer Marta Jakubowski, LCF graduate womenswear designer Jinhee Moon, CSM graduate Xuzhi Chen and west London native Molly Goddard.
Wendy Malem, Director of the CFE comments: “We are delighted to discover new talent is thriving in London and new business models are redefining fashion and making a fresh statement.”
The Pioneer Programme nutures emerging London designers
The New Fashion Pioneer Programme nurtures emerging London-based designer labels, identifying and providing solutions for some of the issues that may be stifling growth in the early stages of business.
The fully subsidised programme supports designers for the length of a season and provides regular one-on-one mentoring sessions and experts workshops on such areas as production, marketing, pr and legal advice.
Eligible designers need to be trading as a business for at least 2 seasons and currently have strong industry champions. Designers maybe receiving showcasing support from Fashion East, Fashion Scout, MAN, NEWGEN or similar schemes. The business may consist of a small team of freelancers and interns. Annual sales will total between 10-15 thousand pounds, made up of 5-10 stockists and private orders.
