The #FASHIONTECH conference was set up in January 2015 by the PREMIUM GROUP and has taken place each season since then. With its aim of bringing fashion together with the tech and start-up industry, and covering all aspects of digital transformation, the conference has now grown to become a firm fixture in Berlin Fashion Week. Global players, industry insiders, communications experts, designers, start-ups and politicians will be taking to the stage to talk about developments, potentials and new approaches around fashion, technology and sustainability.
This season Lukas Gant, Head of Digital at Alphatauri, will give a talk entitled Gen Z – The 8-Second Consumer. Gant has over 20 years’ experience in building digital companies at executive level. His talk will look at the elusive Generation Z, known for their short – and hard to grab – attention span. As an industry insider, Gant will summarise at #FashionTech what companies need to do, firstly, to make this new generation of consumers aware of their products; secondly, to position them with a positive message; and, thirdly, to encourage them to buy. Innovative materials and ready-to-wear silhouettes form the core of the Alphatauri brand, which was created to “pump up people’s expectations of their clothes and inject energy into everyday life”, as the website puts it. “By combining traditional ready-to-wear silhouettes with innovative technologies we are changing the way clothing interacts with the body, giving everyday life a power boost.” One example is Taurex®, bringing a totally new dimension to intelligent clothing. This innovative textile technology recovers energy emitted by the body and returns it to the wearer, making them perform more efficiently.
The #FashionTech conference takes place on 4 July 2018 at Kraftwerk, Köpenicker Str. 70, 10179 Berlin.
