Henry Holland, the British designer behind the label House of Holland has teamed up with innovation hub Visa Europe Collab to bridge the gap between fashion and technology. Together the two plan on unveiling cutting-edge creations to incorporate payments into designs during the upcoming London Fashion Week.

As mobile payments continue to grow, with the launch of Apple Pay next week and Zapp this October, Henry Holland aims to incorporate these new innovations in his Spring/Summer '16 collections. The British designer is set to announce a 'world-first' on the catwalk as he unveils plans for his upcoming show this September at the Decoded Fashion Summit in Tokyo, on Thursday, July 9. Visa Europe Collab and Henry Holland will be unveiling a new type of integration between fashion and technology by incorporating mobile payments into design for the first time and showcasing the potential interaction from catwalk to everyday shopping experience for consumers around the global.

The British designer will reveal his collaboration with Visa Europe Collab through a unique new proof of concept, in the form of a 100 day innovation process, which aims to take ideas from drawing board to prototype within the timeframe. Henry will work with a hand-picked team of craftspeople, artisans and technology providers to use NFC and Bluetooth Smart technologies in his SS16 collection showcase at London Fashion Week come September.
