The original, ethical brand since '88
Like you, Komodo believes the simple actions we make today can have a huge and positive impact on the future...
Komodo is dedicated to creating clothes that are sustainable and don’t have a negative impact on the environment. They are passionate about protecting and nurturing our planet, but they also love fashion and don’t believe the two need to be mutually exclusive. Why can’t we look great whilst fighting for the world we live in?!
Komodo SS23 collection
For SS23 Komodo has taken inspiration from natural and architectural themes of Japan and Nepal – with graphic tee’s inspired by Japan’s array of wildlife alongside bold embroidered Nepalese monuments in jackets.
Alongside this the brand has been working on a special Summer capsule - the revival of Komodo’s 1980’s "Hummingbird print" – hand screen printed in Bali and engineered onto summer ready-to-wear pieces!
Turning attention to this season’s colour palette; Komodo has championed romantic hues for both the men's and women's collections. Lavender, dusty pinks and periwinkle blue dominate the offering, mixed with fresh zings of lemon and amber to freshen the palette. A variety of green tones - a Komodo favourite - continue to pull through, allowing the collection to seamlessly style together.
For fabric, the brand continues to use organic cottons certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard in all product areas as well as modal jersey in their basics range. The hero eco fibre for the season is a 100% banana stripe jacquard weave which has been naturally dyed in Nepal keeping the brand's carbon footprint low.
As a final key note, this season the brand is making a conscious effort to decrease the amount of manmade fibre’s within our collection – recycled polys have been visibly decreased and the natural fibre offering has considerably increased.
